Rhinoplasty and the use of glasses

This is a question that comes up a lot in the office. After rhinoplasty, the nose is still in the healing process, especially in the back area — exactly where glasses usually support it.

Therefore, for the first few weeks, we advise you not to wear your glasses directly on your nose. Pressure can interfere with the result and even mark the region. In some cases, we recommend temporary alternatives, such as supporting glasses in another way or using contact lenses for a period of time.

All of this is discussed on a case-by-case basis. The most important thing is to respect the nose’s time to guarantee a good result in the end. Small post-operative care makes all the difference.
